A Longing To Be There Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

A Longing To Be There

Rating: 5.0

Here i sit again it seems,
Overwhelming thoughts appear,
Mind is full of many days,
Sadly gone i shed a tear.

Bluebell wood of splendid scent,
Passes through my memories,
Those childhood days we lovingly spent,
All now just a haze to me.

A stream of light flowed through the trees,
From sunshine's ray that shone so bright,
Butterflies and humming bees,
Endless memories held so tight.

Fill my heart with fondest love,
Those precious days i live no more,
Touch my heart with gentle nudge,
I long to be there like before.
