A Mosquito Buzzed Close To My Ear Poem by Juan Olivarez

A Mosquito Buzzed Close To My Ear

Rating: 5.0

A mosquito buzzed close to my ear,
I slapped myself silly, producing a tear.
When I regained my senses, I readily found,
That my noggin was throbbing, and continued to pound.

Meanwhile the mosquito had continued to linger,
And had bitten the knuckle on my middle Finger.
It was quickly swelling and it itched like heck,
All this resulting from that miniscule peck.

But the skeeter was still there buzzing close to my face,
It was really beginning to get on my case.
Then I got very lucky, when I sprayed it with raid,
And it took a nose dive, and the buzzing did fade.

Then my wife walked in wondering out loud,
What the heck's going on, what was that shout?
So I held up the finger, the mosquito had bit,
She just looked astonished, and threw one of her fits.

Funny! I got a good laugh out of this one; unlike your wife... for obvious reasons! Ha ha! Great one.
