A Muted World Poem by Romeo Della Valle

A Muted World

Rating: 5.0

There was a defined moment
When I left my muted world
From marriage in name only
And a place for the lonely which
Existed in two people drifting apart
Like shadows on the wall with
No more than a moment to stay!

Decisions I made in a hasty array
Of emotions that could never
Exist in the name of true love
And there's suddenly a stranger
In your life-in the silence you know!

My heart and soul spoke words
Of sad effect for there was no bond
No place of connection when
I listened as my own voice echoed
A clear realization that to survive
I had no choice but to leave!

A steady flow of emotions through out the poem shows a straight forward simple person and his decision making. Thanks for sharing.10 points.

Decisions you made in a hasty array of emotion and that was a hasty moment. But marriage was fixed. There was a defined moment when you left the world. Still heart and soul spoke nice word and made you emotional. This poem is excellently penned that pours emotion in reader's mind...10
