A Poet's Demons And Angels Poem by Shaun Cronick

A Poet's Demons And Angels

Rating: 5.0

I'm the clutter for your thoughts,
That clouded fog inside your mind.
The black block for every writer,
Your despair to which you're resigned.

I'm that bright spark of inspiration,
That fresh idea you want to convey.
The breakthrough you so welcome,
Your aspiration that's here to stay.

Wonderful deployment of personification in this poem Shaun! Yes composing poems often involves an intense battle between these two polar opposites...perhaps it's this intense battle which produces great work...who knows? I certainly sense it in the poetry of, say, Dylan Thomas. Anyhow, it's an intensely satisfying ten from me!
