A Reason To Believe Poem by David Harris

A Reason To Believe

Rating: 5.0

Everyone needs a reason to believe.
To believe in God,
their family and friends,
their wife and their life.
Without having a reason,
life could never carry on,
but having a reason to believe
means anything you want,
you can go out and achieve.

Ah yes David, you hit the nail on the head once again, we must have a reason to believe, oh yes to believe in God, to believe in our family and friends, to believe in ourselves, to believe in love, to believe in hero's, to believe in those that put their lives on the line on a daily basis for us, to believe in those that went before us, to believe in those that died in broken down huts after a hard days work, to believe in those that died horrible deaths, to believe, to acknowledge, to know where we came from and where we will go, to teach our offspring why it is crucial to have a reason to believe, to believe in Life and the God who created it. Thankyou brother David for the wonderful inspiring words in this marvelous piece of writing. --Melvina--

We certainly all do need a 'reason' or will to get by, sometimes more than others..Right now, I just want you to get better and not have any more of those 'petite mals'.... I, for one, believe in you David and your strong soul and heart to win this battle for yourself, your lovely Vera as well as the many friends in your life, both here and elsewhere, whom you so often comfort and bring joy to with your words. love and prayers to you....feel better soon...marci.xoxox
