A Silent Language Poem by Soran M. H

A Silent Language

Rating: 5.0

Sulphur

Is waiting to explode-

Let the Sulphur sleep,

Let rivers

Travel abroad in whiteness

To the breast’s source.

Expel the dark spirit shadow

From the mind

Until the streams

Know the way for themselves,

And stones

Change chatter to silence-

So the earth

May hear stones breathing.

When the beach is quiet

The Earth

May look after all its spirits.

I don’t know

How to accommodate

The days’ restlessness

The nights’ lack of resolve, leaving

A mournful winter

And the sadness of flowers

under the canopy

Of refugee poetry.

Sometimes a silent language can speak louder than anything. It has that power to penetrate the core of being and lead to a greater understanding of what we want to know in this life.

A beautiful poem embellished with wisdom and insight. Thought provoking lines that lead the mind to ponder the wonderful and deep words embedded in this write. " And stones change chatter to silence So the Earth may hear stones breathing." Great lines from a wonderful poem. So brilliantly crafted. Onto my Poem List.

Excellent Poem, silence is the most powerful language which one can use to communicate effectively. By simply looking at the face, situation, and the changes in the nature one can understand what message the other person/thing/nature wants to convey... As you rightly said: When the beach is quiet The Earth May look after all its spirits.....Sublime.5 Stars

The last part of the poem speaks so loud! There is unrest and explosive situations all around! This agitates a sensitive mind so much. I see here the yearning of a poet to return to state of calm. Poetry is a canopy under which he can seek shelter.

Well done, thanks Madam Susan، you are right, here silently we can feel all conflicts and struggling in our miserable world, by reading the language of things, By taking advantage of the characteristics of things and employing them inside the poem, I was waiting for this amazing comment long time ago, Many Thanks
