A Stand For Unity Poem by Laquory Jones

All these thoughts begins the unmasking but just
Listen for a fraction as I try to gain some traction
I carry the pain of the Masses it's all eyes on me
Lights Camera and Actions As I speak to the
Factions but no one's wanting those kind of
Interactions what ever happened to
Love everlasting so much steam began
Amassing I don't think I was asking too
Much when I asked 'Can we all have unity? ' but
I guess that could never be people expressed
That so vividly with their eyes piercing me
Sharpening their intensity that's what I'm sensing

As I feel their intense heat but isn't that the
Definition of a hot seat I'm on a hot streak as
I burn bridges with my cold feet but there's no
Way they'll be tiptoeing because what's an artist
With no moxie just another human being that's
Cocky and that's not me even right now I see
People as they're plotting but no matter how
Many hearts are frozen my words of truth will
Be forever spoken I believe I've been chosen
To lead a path so that future generations can
Seek beyond the aftermath I guess I figured

That my emotions would some day trigger that
As my mind triggers back to the past when I
Use to get snickered at but it only made
Me bolder and bigger (facts) the more people
Gather hate thinking they will garner praise screw
Their accolades I get constant shade as they forget
That we're all headed the same way so I'll see ya
At the gateway my bridges they'll soon be force
To take so I guess then choices will be made
Negativity I was born to slay even long after I'm
Gone and have decayed my world will come into
Fruition and be on display through a common soul
It only takes one person to be monumental and then
The world is yours it's in our control no matter how
Many lies we've been fed or told there's no denying
That everyone here fits the mold you'll never know
Where you could have taken the world if you never
Tried it's you and I, we and they,
As we as a cohesive unit pave the way
