A Street Where Pain Began Poem by Dave Alan Walker

A Street Where Pain Began

Cradled by depravity
in a world of perversion
cold hearted faces
in cold hearted places

A street in the distance
hides and holds
the secret to the truth

Brief, but with a great depth that belies the length, within a few words, you paint a harrowing world of urban damnation. As a metaphor we are all living on streets with cold hearted faces in cold hearted places, given the way people act today with a solipsistic attitude, in which they are the center, it seems that perversion has become a new and twisted norm. Its a sad canvas you paint Dave, but its one I cant help but agree with, this is brutal but good. Their are to many streets like this in the world, if we continue to turn blind eyes what chance do we have of making things better

cold hearted faces in cold hearted places That says it all. The last three lines hold all the secret. Beautiful poem that says a lot in just a few lines.
