A Teacher's Lament Poem by Jaishree Nair

A Teacher's Lament

Rating: 5.0

Why can't you pay heed to the warnings of experience trying to polish till you dazzle like precious stones...

Why can't you pick the pearls set by the warm hearts
and fill your coffers with its brightness...

Why can't you realise the strain
of dropping your colourful dreams in a platter on your lap.

Why can't you realise the futility of playing with the tears of frustrations
of the hands of solace...

Why don't you realise we hold the strings of your kite
hoping you reach the unreached

Not realising the ever taunting pain
of the scars of regret that mark your destiny forever!

Thought provoking write. Some Moments changes our life may be to feel good or bad. Winner is the one who overcomes all. Still, others too are winner may be called slow winner as they burden themselves with thoughts. Beautiful write. Loved reading it.
