A Tipping Of His Hat Poem by David Harris

A Tipping Of His Hat

Rating: 5.0

Two strangers passed along an avenue.
He would tip his hat to her
as he passed each day.
It was a courteous gesture,
which would lead them
unexpectedly into love’s country
and set their hearts aglow.
It was never his intention to fall in love,
it just happened quite unexpectedly to them.
The tipping of the hat lead to a smile,
then a few words they would say.
The words soon became a chat, then a date or two
and slowly love blossomed
around the both of them.
It all happened through a courteous gesture
of a tipping of his hat.
