A Touch Of Déjà Vu Poem by David Harris

A Touch Of Déjà Vu

Rating: 4.4

Have you ever had that feeling
when you go somewhere
you’ve never been before?
That everything seems familiar,
that in fact, you had been there before,
but you know it is the first time.
You recognise the landscapes
and places dotted here and there.
You think maybe I have been here before,
only I must have forgot
and now revisiting has brought it all back,
or could it be a touch of déjà vu,
or maybe even a former life you’ve lead.
Whatever it is the feeling remain
all the time you are there.

Interesting write David. I have heard a couple different suggestions of why we experience this phenomena, but no one seems to know with any certainty.

It' spooky but do it ll the time...and even in conversations...I'll freeze and get that feeling...I've had this exact happening before

I think Hamlet nails it when he says 'there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamed of in your philosophy, Horatio.' Interesting subject. Straightforward write. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Great topic David, I seem to have a deja vu feeling around things from the 1930's, like the old cars etc from that era, maybe I was a gangsters moll lol,10, Lynda xx

I was in Australia, the first time and knew I hadn't been there before but yet it seemed I had lived there forever. Hard to say what that is but it is strange.
