Sweet dreams were dreamt beneath the shining sun
Of the Island of Cyprus, with such verve;
The Hellenic Philosophy has done
Comprehension with love, wit, and fierce nerve;
And from a future distant from themselves
To try to trace the path which they have walked,
Finding recognition of your own self
In their words of wisdom, which they were told
Beneath the cypress-trees in Agora,
Sipping the Nectar of the Gods so sweet,
Conversing subjects of life's plethora
With subtle nuances of heart beneath;
Philosophic depths in their arguments:
In Agora, the human-heart ferments!
