Alexia (By & By) Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Alexia (By & By)

Rating: 5.0

We met for only a wrinkle in time,
Our eyes gleamed upon the brightest stars.
Lukewarm kisses shared beneath the faucet
Where our hearts bathed in each others hand.
Slender hands succumbed in religion.
Praying hands drenched in the ripples of psychics and fortune tellers.
Cryptic hearts learning to speak, Dyslexic to the moments spelt out in front of us.
Learning how sentimental time really is.
A Dark deception of how selfish we really are.
invoking origami prohibitions
Following the rose petals left behind by each others eyes.
The cherry blossoms that flourish beneath the sun.
We met for only a glimpse in time,
Long enough to realize why God doesn't answer all prayers
