Always Guilty - Poem by Dominique Gladney

I can't do anything right
I always feel like the guilty one
People are always putting me down
I always pray during hard times like these
But then I feel like I am trying too hard
I didn't do anything to these people
Why do they say things to hurt me
I don't cry about it all
But it does hurt inside
People put words in my mouth
And they think they know everything
I am my own person
No one can think what I think
If they want my trust, then
They got to believe in me
