Anchored In Rust Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Anchored In Rust

When you breathe into me
I feel suffocated & must swim
You've shared a piece of yourself
Dark & deep,
Whatever pain I've had is no more
Whatever fear I had is lost
In the tide
There is just you, I, &
My ambition to fall like an anchor.
Wherever it falls I will be
Carried deep from the world above.
If I run out of rope then the world
Will continue on,
And I without a trace.
I'll be with you always
Your breath the very same
As mine
