And After That.. We Didn't Talk



Long lines, short attitudes
Between the gap of checking out
& grabbing a cart
Everything was on sale.
People come & go
Loose bills, credit cards & debit cards.
We brought chips and 2 for 1 sodas
We walked row after row, after all
everything was on sale.
Pillows, blankets, cases of water
We stood in line & waited.
Loose bills, credit cards, debt and EBT
We brought chips and 2 for 1 sodas
everything was on sale
Advils, various pain pills, spicy dill pickles.
Even love some times has a quota
The only thing that wasn't on sale
