James McLain

And Dreaming She Conquered Some Mountain

and dreaming she conquered some mountain;
and she went up and over the ridge to him
and he came over to the white cloud tops
and the wind moved him like rain over her hair
and that he was more and more in love with her
and one night she became his voice this dream
and she lived on that mountain; she conquered.

    love is on that mountain
    some times you cannot see it
    opened wide
    never hides
    gently yielding comes with it
