Anderson Dcccxcii Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

I'll undo yr tie
Then, unbutton yr shirt
And we'll lie naked watching Netflix
Until wake fall a sleep
Maybe, after we wake up
We'll make love until the sun seep down
And watch the moon turn red
As the stars fall into the ecstasy of
Dreams and disappointment
I slip into my black jeans and tee
As you straighten yr tie

There's a country and western flair to this one. I'm visualizing Kristofferson and Streisand in A Star Is Born.

Ecstasy of dreams and disappointment.... beautifully phrased. Every beautiful love can have a bitter taste. Sadly dreams and disappointment go hand in hand.
