Anderson Dcccxi Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Anderson Dcccxi

Rating: 5.0

We would never become a 'we'
As I watch you at eight o'clock every night
Blinking those blue eyes
A million times; trying to be interested
I think you are probably thinking 'Why did I have a kid? '
With Covid
And the Taliban
But you can't foretell the future
However, I think you are a responsible person
And you would be honest with yr child
That's why I want to be with you
However, we would never become an 'us'
That's Ok by me

Not a thought-provoking poem, but having read so many Anderson-poems, this is a true poem-puzzle, no?

Oh, this is a poem with a twist! No, two twists! No, I think I see three! I am going to read your other Anderson poems to see if I am on the right track!
