HER cloths occupying most of the closet.
Draws crammed with make-up; panty hose
forever hanging up on the bathroom curtain
rod and piles of unread womens magazines.

HIS socks and underwear strewn on the floor.
The unwashed bathtub and the mess he leaves
where ever he goes, like an animal making
his territory.

Yes, to each mate these are objects of
annoyance. That is until one has died.
Then...and then, they all become
objects of endearment.
