Another Time Poem by Dee Corpolongo

Another Time

Rating: 5.0

Once in a while, in another time and place
you meet another, who puts a smile on your face
It slowly happens, and it feels so good
even though you didn't really think it could

They can stir your emotions, like never before
and touch you sweetly right to the core
Then suddenly, they have a change of heart
and slowly, somehow they tear your world apart
You then realize it was nothing more than a game
a time spent that had set you heart aflame
One minute you love me next minute unsure
this rollercoaster ride is so obscure
I'm through with playin' and it's time for me to go
You now have lost the best you'll ever know.
I will think about you with fond memory
and realize our love was just not meant to be.

Whom ever this other person was, it is they, I believe from all the wonderful poems you write, that has truly lost out. ... your last two lines show your strength, goodness and hope. Very moving poem.

A beautiful poem of love and lost. Yes the game of love is played many times. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Lets just stay in the game. A lovely write.
