Dreams - Poem by Dee Corpolongo

One of lifes simple pleasures is to sleep
memories that can make us forever weep
Upon losing someone that you miss so much
it's in a dream you can feel their touch

You remember many moments of the past
and times of long ago with hopes they'd last
the smiles, the tears, the days of contentment
leaving no room for any kind of resentment

Yes, it is in a dream you can know forevermore
to spend it once again with the one you adore
To know the feeling of true love and pleasure
is something that my heart will forever treasure
