You said I am still young
I say I am middle-aged
Time is going too fast, I guess
I said if I went to college, I would be published
In major magazines
But I went to work
And was miserable
You said it's not too late
But I say I'm too old to be in debt
Spending the rest of my life paying
I want to give up
However, my dad's ghost asked me why?
I continue to plug at it
But I like I said time is going too fast, I guess
And I am failing as I grow older
YOU have not failed, but the older we get, the less we appreciate with the much success we have gained. Instead of your Alter ego, there appeared your late Dad. I regard this sweet poem brilliantly captured. TOP Marks, LeeAnn
This lovely poem is created while looking at the mirror and your beloved Dad appeared, instead of your own person
I feel every word of this poem. And as I get older it becomes more truer. Leeann you have crafted a poem that reaches into my heart. Thank you for voicing my own fears
LeeAnn, your Poetry is wonderful and we love to read them. In God's own time, your works will be published or you can self publish them. Age could not deter our dreams. Beautiful and touching poem.
You are already published, LeeAnn, on a major website. Some of your poems are classics and will endure forever. Do not be discouraged. You have accomplished much.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
