Asking To Be Observed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Asking To Be Observed

When one approaches another,
Who has experience in running...
Marathons.
And prepares to win them done to do.
What objective and purpose,
Would anyone have to ask...
Someone like this,
To observe them running.
Then to make comments,
On the way they run.
What they should use,
For motivation and desire.
That will provide the incentive to win.
Without asking to be observed.
Or expect to be shown,
From where this begins.
What is it wished,
To them should be given?
And not to earn!

"You could at least share with me,
Your experiences."

-And then from you,
What is it should I expect? -

"I would need time,
To think about that."
