Australian Open Tennis In Melbourne.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Australian Open Tennis In Melbourne....

Rating: 5.0

From the sequel: the famous names in history,
part Three: Tennis
Kyrgios and Nadal

Today (Dutch afternoon,
no afternoon please)
Nick Kyrgios (Down Under) versus Rafael Nadal (Spain) ,

two world famous tennis players,
before they receive these positions,
they always play the very best matches,
they win the most finals,
their life is often complicated,
every time they almost suffocated (figuratively)

Nadal gets his current place with hard work,
while Kyrgios is a natural talent and plays his games excellently,
he gets his aces while he plays the court jester
in most competitions almost a disaster
he indeed has super strokes from a genius player

Nadal's uncle taught him tennis,
a left-handed player who becomes king on the clay courts,
Kyrgios, his mother is descendant of a Malay Sultan,
she is 20 and left her palace for a life with a house painter,
she is very smart, studied and has the title of computer engineer,

back to my message:
tomorrow on monday morn,
they will show the 4th round in Melbourne,
sportive greetings for both players,

a Dutch tennis lover

I read this when the result is already out (Nadal won) ... Lovely comparison between natural talent that lacks application and emotional control, and sheer hard work and application. I remember one such comparison done by Krishna in Mahabharata in the context of a duel between Duryodhan and Bheemsen.
