Autumn Poem by David Harris

Autumn

Rating: 4.8

Here it is autumn,
the leaves are turning
from green to gold and red.
As the days, get shorter
as we head
towards winter’s wonderland,
which is not that far ahead.
However, while we have it
lets enjoy the autumn sun
and the wonderful colours
that brings our way.
Lets enjoy it while we have it
for all too soon it will be gone
replaced by the winter
and its frosty song
when the world becomes
winter white again.

You weave autumn's magic with a perceptive touch and remind this reader that you live a world away. In Australia, we're having a very early summer with temperatures already in the thirties - and it's still only November! A pretty poem with a hint of melancholy. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

That is beautiful and colourful Autumn poem....I just adore the lovely yellow and orange hues of the season....unfortunately we do not have them in this part of the world...It is green and green again.....10

Great poem David. I'm with you on this. There are parts of the winter which I enjoy, but I think that when you get to a certain age, there is a strong hankering for the sunshine Best Regards Steve 10
