Branches gently sway
As autumn leaves glide softly to the ground
Leaves red, yellow, gold and brown
Tiny grey squirrels all around
Leaves rustle as they scurry
In a quest to find some food
Autumn breezes crisp on my skin
As raindrops silver pearl
Dance upon a bed of leaves
Red, yellow, gold and brown.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem. You have drawn a beautiful imagery of Autumn here. 'Tiny grey squirrels all around Leaves rustle as they scurry In a quest to find some food' Squirrels also hide their food under the fallen leaves.
A beautiful poem with vivid imagery in the tradition of romanticists. The subject is my favorite.
The poem makes my skin feel the poem so delightful indeed Autumn that magic season...regards
