Be Bad To The Bad Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Be Bad To The Bad

Rating: 5.0

Be mild to the mild and harsh to the harsh
And tough to the tough to stay fit.

Be not a liar to the liar,
A cheat to the cheat, a thief to the thief
And better avoid such men.

Be a miser to the greedy,
A possessive to the selfish
To discourage their habit.

Be good to the bad
Is a cowardly act.

These three stanzas remind me the great VEMANA who wrote in Telugu and even today a very popular poet with this kind of worldly advice. Three gems indeed.
