Beauty Can Be Anywhere Poem by Bill Galvin

There is beauty in a breath of good air;
In a snowfall; in sun, dense fog or rain;
In a flower's shape, whether perfect or not.
Beauty in what we know as the present…
And in remembrance of all those not forgot.

It resides inside a rapture, even within our pain;
It's too easy to focus on the flaws of life;
Beauty's there for us to grasp when all else seems in vain.

It's within the verse written from the heart;
Within the hug and the holding of the hand;
It's in the expression of our love; a whisper or a kiss…
In a story of that love, whether written or read aloud,
The beauty is in the sharing of the reminisce.

There is always hope at a beginning,
The reward of living in the moment,
And the beauty of an ending, be it long life or short;
A story of the hits and misses, of highs and of lows;
A story of love without regret; the caring and support.

There is beauty in the secrets shared between the two,
And in the fails that happen to everyone.
Beauty in the creation then of all things new;
Beauty in the battles both lost and won…
Beauty in all of our sufferings and glories…
Just don't stop telling all those stories.

Beauty is everywhere, wherever we may be,
Anywhere we need it -
On a sofa, or out walking in wood and lea;
Beauty is always there, wherever we fit in time,
Anytime we want it -
It's there for us to see; there for us to find.

There's the beauty of looking up at the mountain;
And there's the beauty of the climb…
All is beauty - and we carry it within ourselves
To light our way to the end of what will be our time.
