Becoming Us - Poem by Cheryl Creamer

You and me for eternity.
Thus the two become we.
No fights no fuss.
It's always gonna be us.
Through paper and ink,
your love makes me think.
Why did I ever deny?
When I only need reply.
So I sit here in my cell,
going through a small piece of hell.
Now we wait for awhile.
I so long to see your smile.
The love in the ink that you send,
will get me through 'til the end.
These words I say are true,
true to me and true to you.
With honesty our love has base.
Doubt no longer has a case.
My days are sometimes blue,
each one draws me closer to you.
Not only in body, but also in heart.
Stronger we become, never shall we part.
