Bedside Manner? Poem by Dee Daffodil

Bedside Manner?

Rating: 5.0

Physician...Physician...
Please let it be clear...
You've got me worked up...
With your thousand yard stare!

You've asked me to come in
To hash this all out...
But now that I'm here...
Can there be any doubt? ?

I sense that the news
Isn't terribly enlightening
And yet at the same time
It just might be frightening!

You pass me the document
Sent from the lab
With words I know not...
You continue to blab...

You mention...'compensation'...
'Disabled' and 'pain'...
My head is now swimming
I'm no longer sane!

I fight back the tears
And I hold my head high
Apparently I need to...
Do you have any Rye? ? ?

You've given me scripts...
And scheduled more tests...
Let the games begin now...
Before my soul rests

I've been here before...
To treat various 'bugs'
But instead of those samples...
I wish you gave hugs! !

oh this had me in giggles after being told a couple of years ago all ten of his previous patients died - sometimes you gotta wish doctors just lied! Anyway, together with God's help - that tumor I defied :) Hey - here's a cyber hug :)

Very clever, (as always) .I had a doctor who gave hugs.We had words and then parted company.

Oh Dear, are you off the charts? Hope you'll recover before your insurance gives out! -chuck

Hugs, you might be asking for too much, but if they would speak english we could eliminate the stress meds we need because of their lack of bedside manner.
