Beginning That Ends Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Beginning That Ends

A beginning that ends,
Its treacherous journey.
Through abandoned common sense.
Thoughtlessness and self importance.

A beginning that ends,
In a vivid display...
Left to leave behind,
Every kind of disaster to imagine.

A beginning that ends,
Taking for granted what greed can do.
To believe by many,
They too will be immuned from sorrow.

A beginning that ends,
Soon if not tomorrow.
An awakening that reveals everyone feels,
Personally!
And not from delusions to borrow.

A beginning that ends,
With all to acknowledge never to forget...
Humanity to experience it,
Is a blessing to enjoy.
And not to destroy a gift that is given.
