Behind A Black Cloud - Poem by Tiffany Murphy

You had a pretty little girl
Biggest toothy grin
Beautiful blue eyes
The perfect child

She was your world
Your number one
Your everything
Yet you let her slip away

Back behind a black cloud
She was gone
Out of reach from everyone
She was all alone

Everywhere she turned
Everywhere she ran
Everytime she spoke
No one was there for her

She was confused
The world became a dizzy haze
No where to go
Nothing she could do

Your pretty little girl became a black cloud
Distant from everyone
You never noticed her though
She was forgotten

She grew older
Caring was a thing of the past
Changes were normal
Depression hit her hard

Your pretty little girl was in danger
She was hurting herself
Letting her sadness out through blood streams
Making a mess of herself

She had lost a lot
Friends had left
Grades were dropping
Tears were running

You still never noticed your pretty little girl
Running from her nightmares
Seriously needing help
But no one was there

Her world had been destroyed
It had all gone
Her blue eyes had turned to stone
Her lies became her life

The slashes got bigger
The razors got sharper
Her smile became fake
Her life became nothing

She knew she was different
She liked this
She thought about suicide
She did it

Your pretty little girl was lost behind a black cloud
