Ben Franklin In Dublin

Rating: 5.0

Ben Franklin, while visiting Dublin,
had health issues that were quite Trublin.
The doc said 'Oh, dear!
It's serious, I fear.
It seems that your blood is a Bublin! '

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem took second place in the 2022 Poetry Society of Indiana contest, in category 4: Premier Poets Prize. It had to be a limerick written about a historical figure or event. It is published on page 46 of Ink to Paper Volume 7, an annual publication of PSI. In the book, the title is the same as the first line, but I chose to use a shorter title here.

Congratulations on second place in the contest! I love the spelling of Trublin and Bublin to match Dublin. Excellent limerick. Wes Vogler would be pleased.
