Biology And God Poem by Walterrean Salley

Biology And God

Rating: 4.9

We are made
Of cells and genes,
So tiny that
They can't be seen.

And in the womb,
Where we would dwell,
God knew us
From a single cell.

The atoms split
And cells divided,
As God in wisdom
Multiplied.

The electrons, protons and neutrons—
Composing the atoms by which we're made,
Were designed by the knowledge of God—
According to His plans laid.

This is a favorite, I follow a pantheist view, and there is something similar in this. A great work

The wonderful thing about this poem is that biology register got mixed up with the pulse-beat of the delicate genre of poetry...

Fantastic poem, Salley. The wonderful thing about science is that now physics and spirituality seem to melt Quarks and leptons, photons, waves or particles, thoughts and expectations All seem to influence the others. And then the space in between them, huge I love it

Scientific and poetic; truth entwined with truth, at the vortex our truth each one can relate to it, this poetry.......
