Blank Canvas Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Blank Canvas

There it stands empty, bare
Waiting for the love it deserves
A blank canvas, a glare of white
For colour to breathe internal space
Throwing an arch of rainbow
Imprinting every corner
Memories capturing a portrait
A house to be made a home

Lovely poem about creating art making 'a home' out of what was otherwise a blank canvas- like a 'house.'

A very nice portrait of a canvas. So well written, inspired! We can see and feel the whole scene, TV, not included. Absolutely delightful and effective imagery. A poem-painting not to be forgotten, kept at home, close.
