Blind Love - Poem by Kirsten Striecker
I'll think back, when I was crazy to think we would be one.
I thought you'd be gone, by now.
I swore that night, I hadn't loved you.
That thought just crossed my mind
My crazy thoughts, flew on by.
Months past, and I'd soon forget.
How much, you truly meant.
With a 'deny' to every time you'd asked.
While you were a believer, I was a sinner.
While my life crashed, you were there every step.
With a closed mind, I had not notice that you never left my side.
Through it all, you stood strong. With open arms you help me survive.
You silly remarks, just to see me smile.
How much you cared, was blinding to me.
We've been through a lot, A lot I didn't realize.
To see you with her, was what made me realize.
You're everything I want and more.
I want to be the one you hold, and the one you love.
That night, I fell in love with you.
I was to scared, from the past hurting me so bad.
I know now. You truly care.
I know now, you wouldn't dare to hurt me.
