Breaking Boredom Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Breaking Boredom

Steadily picking up speed, racing like a race car down the
track and into a fantasyland of imagination, taking life
along for the joy ride.

Switching now to another melody of blue suede shoes, people
walking along, seemingly oblivious to the music, not under-
standing how this could be when the band is energetic.

Focusing melodies into the crowd tonight, moving pictures
upon the screen behind them, imagery flowing and blending
with notes and chords.

They continue to play so steadily into the evening, break-
ing the boredom and mundane evenings of old, giving feel-
ings of satisfaction and pleasure throughout the night.
