Bri, Dumbfounded By Joseph Heller's Book... [ Catch-22; War; Authority; Craziness; Sex ] Poem by Bri Edwards

On page 684 of Josepth Heller's (Large Type) novel Catch-22,
I found 'dumfounded' [sic], a typo, of which I've noticed so few.
Dumbfound is a verb with these definitions: Surprise, Confound, Shock, Startle, Stun, Stupefy, & also...ASTOUND!

The book (and movie) were prize-winners some decades ago,
and 'catch-22' took its place in English dictionaries. Yes, it is so.
It's a noun meaning 'circumstance or rule that denies a solution',
e.g. 'trash must be burned, BUT you must not cause pollution! '

The story is termed 'satirical'. It deals with some aspects of war.
'Characters' are U.S. military men, death, more-than-one-whore,
fear, greed, love, etc. Before reading much, I decided to (it) quit...reading, but I resumed, enjoying its craziness quite a darn bit.

The main character wishes to stop bombing missions, and live,
but his 'bosses' won't let him go 'home'. His life he might give,
unwillingly, because of a 'catch-22'. The story is silly & sweet,
at times, & at times crazy like a man with shoes but NO feet!
