Bri Fell Into His Poems.... [ You Are Welcomed To Explore Some Of Bri's Poems From Years Gone By ]

To introduce some of my older poems to those who've not met them, OR to remind those who have (met them) to consider meeting again, I've written a poem in which words/names or phrases typed with all...CAPITAL LETTERS may be typed into PH's 'search box' to help you to...find poems I'd like to share with YOU, you, and U! ! ! If you encounter problems, please feel free to ask me for help. These 'words/names...or phrases' usually are NOT complete titles, but they will lead you to a list of poems [not just mine], which will have the desired poems in them; it's... not too difficult. Even I can (and did) do the searching successfully! ! !

You may find interesting titles from other PH members as well. ;) bri

Bri Fell Into His Poems....

In 'the big apple' aka New York City I looked up as the gentle giant,
KING KONG, swatted at diving planes. He was scared and defiant!
Across the continent, out our one-time large back bedroom window,
In BYE-BYE JIMMY, a deer, awaited death, turkey vultures waiting; death was slow.

Two of my favorite characters, RALPH THE ROOFER and QUENTIN, lived and died.
Ralph's widow took his place on their roof. Quentin, a moron, failed to save a stranger, but he tried.
I must have had death on my mind. The story of the BOY IN AN ENVELOPE's..... death was read.
And I awoke with a start to 'see' an ALIEN OYSTER filling me with dread!

[ A poem SALAMANDER, speaks of a salamander I found guarding its eggs.
THE RAVEN PAIR (also short) features a pair of birds balancing on their legs.
Many of my poems are true (enough) about me and my siblings and my folks.
Some introduce my daughter and my 4 wives. Please hold back your jokes!

MANU (AND THE SNAKE) , on his walk to school in India, takes a shortcut on a forest trail......
and ends up squeezed to death (sort of) by a python (snake) . No more Manu needs his 'lunch pail'.
A young father's Ingles/ENGLISH SUCKS, as shown by many spelling errors.
And a poem entitled 6 FOOT 3 reports a maniacal murderer causing terrors.

In KISS WITH A TWIST one man romances a peculiar but most
sweet date.
In FINDING ONESELF......, a boy becomes a man and discovers 'himself', not too late!
The Rape(s) That Didn't GO AS PLANNED may shock you all
the way through.
I hope you read it till its ending, as (I think) my sister neglected.... to Do!

SEEDS THAT LISTENED, apple and grape, try to help humans with overheard desires.
The seeds respond, as helpful seeds might, but find their 'helping' backfires!
A buxom waitress (a MAVEN) offers after-hours services (a whore?) .
I'll not give away the ending, but it reminds me of The Raven's quote, 'nevermore'.

I waded through ACCIDENTAL HACKING, which caused the National Security Agency....
to contact me.
It seems my innocent library volunteer work influenced world events to some large degree.
But I'm not the only innocent guy guilty of messing up a job. Take the drug seller's...
cousin, Ned.
Sent to deposit a large sum of cash in a bank, Ned left it at a laundry & dry cleaner....
shop instead!

I've poems of 'God' and of 'the Devil', of the 'first humans', of sex, and also of love,
trips to Japan and to Thailand (with my wife) , & much more than you see above.
SPEAK TO ME MOON and A LONELY CLOUD NATURE... both offer you a 'quick read'.
My 17 'book' series ** of long stories about SHEILA and Clifford is great, but Not For Speed! !

** [ I'm missing books 14 and 15! ! Where Did they go? ? ? ! ]

One short poem [ I just deleted another one ] deals with the pattern of a ZEBRA'S hide.
At a FATHER'S TOAST at his gay son's wedding reception, some readers may not abide.
Yes, I deal with abortion, religion, and sex, and varying attitudes towards one's gender.
I'll listen to beliefs of others, about anything, but my own beliefs I will Not easily Surrender!

BLACK ON WHITE; OOPS makes fun of my only child's (my daughter's) wedding day.
And BLACK ON WHITE. BINGO! reviews 'the creator's' (some call her God) way.
JAKE'S Christmas Eve shows the love of a rat (Jake) for his wife and kids aka his kin.
A MOUSE IN MY STOMACH speaks of the creatures I have, without and within.

Bharati, now that I've removed what I first copied in the poem area, and typed part of my REAL poem, no one will know what you were referring to. Ha ha. Yes, PH does surprise us at times! !

Some times people take advantage of it to vent their anger and write rubbish.

I'll bet many poets, including on PH, wish THEIR poems were read by more people, 'possums, and parrots. Hi Kim & Hi Bharati. : )
