Broken Poem by Fantone Mdala

Broken

Rating: 5.0

"Nothing is more peaceful than a moment of silence"

Sometimes I wish those words were always true.

Ever since I broke the ice

Tension has been heating up

Like an unstable acidic volcano in a vent

Devouring every bit of joy in the atmosphere

Into its hungry bowels of hell

Leaving nothing but a wordless scene of despair

As aqua slowly leaks out of her eyeballs

As if it were a melting ice berg

A frown drawn on that doll-like face

Arousing that guilty feeling inside of me

Warning me to have never broken down the news

Wasn't it necessary to do so?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
There's no story attached to this poem. It's just a fictitious and imaginary piece just outlining a regret over a breakup. It's actually one of my first poetry pieces.

A powerful poetic expression of a heartbreak- - -Fear arises in mind about a possible separation or heartbreak even though it has not actually happened..
