Broken Chains

The chains that once bound me to you
Have finally been broken,
Everything dissolved
When those words were spoken

You said I was the one with the problem
And I believed every word you said
That I need help
They played over and over in my head

I loved you so much
I believed you loved me and you knew best
I didn’t see the truth inside of me
You turned out to be worse than the rest

I am fine just the way I am
And now I Know you were wrong
You’re the one who needs help
I see now that you are finally gone

The chains are broken
Now I can finally see
Don’t come back
I realize I am finally free
