Burning In The Flames Poem by Paula Glynn

Burning In The Flames

I am burning in the flames,
I am on fire and I don't even know your name,
This passion, this fire, consumes me,
And I don't know what spell you have put me under,
All I know is I am under your command,
That this soul burns with desire in the heat,
And that I am caught up in these red-hot sheets,
As you kiss and caress me with your tongue,
For the night is wicked and the night is young,
I don't know who I was until tonight,
And I don't know how I'll live with myself in the morning light,
For you are like a drug that is addictive,
You leave me sweating and panting for more,
Our clothes discarded: left on the floor,
Because I love your kisses,
I love the way you touch me,
And this is a night of passion,
As my soul burns in your flames,
And your flames alone,
For you have cast a wicked spell,
And where this affair leads, only time will tell,
For you are my lover, you release me from my sins,
As if I am dancing in the devil's arms,
A game of chess being played by giants,
For I must have been taken out of heaven to be here tonight,
And I know my soul will be taken to the damned,
For you are truly wicked, yet how I love your touch.
