I laughed with her in the after glow of the melting horizon
I imagined how much she meant to me, her whole hand fitting in mine
We laughed in talks of relationships past
Misconceptions of being brought, an object sought after
Verbal abuse, expectations of finding heaven through smiles disgarded
for one reason or another topics which we couldn't help but laugh and relate
We indulged
What I loved most was she didn't reveal anything but a smile
She wore a casual dress and flip-flops
Her skin bathed in chocolate, she made a joke involving caramel
We conversed
Bathing in each others words
Accommodating a thrill which we both sought
I actually didn't believe that she'd call again
To my surprise I looked down to see a missed call
And her calling right back
