Can'T You See Daddy? - Poem by Chandra Hohmann

Can't you see Daddy?
All I want is to love you.
Can't you see Daddy?
All I want is to respect you.
Can't you see Daddy?

Why do you make it so hard?
To fulfill these simple wishes.
Things I used to take for granted
You've made impossible

All I want is to love you Daddy.
Why do these memories,
these awful memories take that from me.
Memories of screaming and fighting

Memories of tears and hiding.
Memories of broken promises and forgeting.
Of a little girls dreams...dashed to the floor

Make them go away Daddy!
Please? Make everything better
just like you used to...

Can't you see Daddy?
All I want is to love you Daddy
Why do you make it so hard?

Can't you see Daddy?
I don't want to hate you anymore
Can't you see...
