Castles Of Sand Poem by Ratnakar Mandlik

Castles Of Sand

Rating: 5.0

Human, the wisest off spring of nature
Driven by intellect to conquer it's master,
Cowardice and cunning revolutionize,
Setting society, it's ethics and values.

Gender and affinity betwixt the opposite,
Evolved the knot n sacred bond of espousal.
Progeny and for it their love eternal,
For a while in a thick bond to them unite.

He and she, the two wheels of a family
Espouse false conceptions of love n loyalty.
Cracks in the family come to the fore
When the children evolve as separate entity.

Modern marriage, just like a sand castle
Under the strife of egos, then crumbles.

An alarming truth about the modern marriage, that hardly survives even for a short span of time. It just crumbles down like a sand castle. A pointer at the society in general and of ego, where ethics and morality has taken a back seat. Castle of sand is a remarkable poem with a strong message to the society........10
