Catch Of The Day Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Catch Of The Day

Desire is a troublemaker...
Ask a fish who sensed a tasty
bait covered hook… he's snagged
and is struggling like crazy

As he squirms and fights
to get loose… he thinks
he should have thought twice...
this situation really stinks

Longing for a dilatable flavor
put him in the frying pan
Now he's the catch of the day
Never to be curious again
