Christmas - Poem by Ashley Ritchie

The day beings,
and endless grins
shower the crowd around.
The day has come
for christmas begun
all sorrow now drowned.
The lights they rise
a feast for eyes
from high trees to ground.
The tree it glows
and everyone knows
that santa will be bound.
The door does knock
and at it a flock
a chorus of sound.
Then the day does come
when santa is done
and presents they surround.
