Cinnamon Roll Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Cinnamon Roll

You know,
Someone once told me that you're
The equivalent of a drug.
My munchies didn't lie.
I don't realize that I am craving
You until I've wrapped my tongue
Around your warm center.
In a lot of ways you're the love
Of my life.
Whether it's your smell or the way that
you taste.
Everything seems to go away when I
have you
In my hands and my lips wrapped
around your skin.
Even when you're gone, I lick my
fingers.
You and your cinnamon frosted
sweetness.
The sad truth, most of the time
I am not hungry.
It's truly the little things that come
In the most wonderful discreet
packages
That make life worth while
