Cloning Poem by Bill Cantrell

Looking at the greats of poetry,
Both from the days of old and present,
Their amount of poetry could be carried,
In their pocket or purse
Perhaps,
They knew,
Too many brings a curse

Not always true; if it's an issue of an addiction, better lots of poetry writing than heroine or opiate addiction! It is a ' preferred' vice. And I sometimes read some authors and want more and there is not more. Not something to condemn in my opinion.

Very true, not always the case...my poem addiction.... Oh poetry you toxic drug, Your taste is all I crave Just one embrace has changed my life, Now I am your shameless slave I do understand the addiction part, I am not condemning, just saying to take a breath between poems and think in between the lines, many reputable poem sites limit poems per day for good reason
